| i've been MIA for quite some time now; the last time i updated was before I started working over summer... after then, there've been lots of things happening, work, and after work, school + recruiting for full time + AKPsi, and all of these have been weighing down on my schedule i suppose.
Cool things that I've managed to do in my penultimate semester: Cruise to Bahamas the weekend before my final my 9th Jean Georges dinner with a tour to the kitchen, courtesy of Jason Atlantic City and Gambling Live by myself thanksgiving dinner from scratch :D Successfully obtaining a Wii for myself by lining up at 3:30 in the morning among others...
So now that the semester is done with, there is no more AKPsi for a while to worry about, No school, but certainly there is still recruiting, but I cna't worry about that since i can't make an interview anywya, being 2000 miles across the world.
anyway, I wouldn't update for any other reason than to say that I am back in Taiwan, same cell phone 0928-539-184
and with this short entry on my semester, I leave you with a comment by db.
Hot Carrot (in Taipei!!! same phone#: 0930025380) says: hahaha, david u'r the coolest guy i kno now hahahaha

| My lovely Island country has too many cheap and unhealthy culinary delights to tease my wallet and tempt my stomach.
This is most certainly not good.

| So recently the US market has taken many big hits, and so has my portfolio. Back down to -2.5% as of this evening.
I'm out of ideas as of right now. Anyone have any? I can only buy ETF's and US Stocks/ADR's.
I was thinking of some gold index, but it seems inflated

| So clearly I do not post very often, probably because there really is
nothing much that goes on in my life, which is very repetitive.
That, and the quite plausible case that no one really reads this
anymore. Of course, that could be due to the fact that there are
no posts to read, which in itself is a viscous cycle.
But I have some time, finally, and am posting about the recent things
that have happened in my life for your viewing pleasure, of course.
For those of you who are going to be in Taiwan, I'm flying in on the
10th and leaving on the 25th to go back to NYC to start work
(YAY?). But I need to go to China at some point within that time
frame to see my dad and meet some kids at Xiamen University who
(apparently) are interested in Actuarial Science and B-School in the
US, which is a topic I am clearly the expert to ask...(^_^;;;;;).
So yes, my cell phone is, of course, still the same 0928 539 184, and
call me if you wnat to play ball, or DOTA or KTV or whatever.
Other things happening in my life; as i alluded to earlier, I DID in
fact get a job for the summer! After months of toiling and
interviewing and submitting my resume (i think i sent no less than 50),
I finally have a job. Working at IXIS Capital Markets (small
operation of a large french bank) working on the Fixed Income Prop
Trading Desk, which is definitely cool.
Hmmm...other things....I am moving out of nyu housing, and getting an
apartment of my own! Its a small studio for just myself, but
there are so many restrictions with living in a high-rise building, its
really wtf. So for all of you who want to live in NYC, be
prepared for getting gan diao by broker's fees as well as annoying
co-op boards and restrictions...(maybe its just my case...)
Where else is everyone working???
My work address is 9 West 57th Street.
Anyone working in the city over summer????
I think that is all from me for now...will post after I get back to
taiwan bah...or when i have more time and am done with Finals and
moving in.
